Medical University of Vienna
The Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna) is connected to the public transport system via metro (U-Bahn) station "Michelbeuern AKH" of line U6. The conference will take place in the auditorium center (Hörsaalzentrum) of the MedUni Wien, located on the 7th and 8th floor of the Vienna General Hospital building. It can be reached from the main entrances by following the signs to "Hörsaalzentrum 7L" within the building.
Alternatively, the conference venue can be reached by tram lines 5 and 33, station "Lazarettgasse", and a short walk through the MedUni campus. Please see the map of the AKH area.
The Medical University of Vienna, founded in 2004 as a university on its own, is one of Europe’s well-established medical training and research institutions with a rich tradition. The former Medical School of the University of Vienna was a founding member of the Alma Mater Rudolphina in 1365. Today it is the largest medical training institute in the German-speaking area with over 7,500 students. With its 27 university hospitals, three clinical institutes, 12 theoretical medicine centres and numerous highly specialised laboratories, it is one of the cutting-edge research institutes of Europe in the area of biomedicine.
